Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem has reiterated that the Israeli occupation government's recent announcement to establish a colonial Jewish settlement in occupied Galilee represented a serious escalation in the occupation's policy of Judaisation and colonial settlement.

In a press statement, the Hamas spokesperson added that the occupation government, led by a group of extremist settlers, "is waging an open war against the Palestinian existence" and seeks to "advance the agenda of complete displacement, on which Zionism was founded".
