On the Israeli occupation forces' withdrawal from the occupied West Bank city of Jenin and its refugee camp, the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas states the following:

First: Hamas salutes the Palestinian martyrs who lost their lives during the occupation forces' most recent offensive. The movement also wishes the injured a speedy recovery.

Second: The steadfast Palestinian people will continue to adhere to the option of resistance as a means to confront the Israeli occupation until liberation and the establishment of the independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

Third: Hamas urges the international community, the United Nations, and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation to go beyond words of condemnation and assume responsibility for putting an end to the Israeli occupation of Palestine. Hamas also calls for holding the leaders of the Israeli occupation accountable for their heinous crimes against the defenseless Palestinian people.
