The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has condemned an Israeli court's decision to exonerate the Israeli occupation soldier who murdered an autistic Palestinian man as "reprehensible".

"The Israeli occupation judiciary's decision to acquit the Israeli occupation soldier who killed Palestinian martyr Eyad al-Hallaq confirms once again that the Israeli occupation's fascist institutions participate in the occupation’s terrorism against the Palestinian people," Hamas spokesperson Abdel Latif al-Qanoa said Thursday.

In a press statement, al-Qanoa added that such move is added to the "huge record of the Israeli crimes against our Palestinian people."

On Thursday, an Israeli court acquitted the Israeli occupation soldier who murdered al-Hallaq, 32, three years ago and ruled that the soldier acted in "self-defense".
