The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has called on the Palestinian people to intensify their presence at the Al-Aqsa Mosque to foil Israeli colonial settlers’ planned raids into the Muslim holy site.

Member of Hamas Political Bureau Mousa Abu Marzouq pointed out that the Israeli occupation has stepped up its home demolition policy in occupied Jerusalem, razing dozens of Palestinian homes and structures.

In a press statement Friday, Abu Marzouq explained that the Israeli occupation has been targeting Jerusalem’s Palestinian national figures, pointing to the expulsion of the family of Al-Aqsa Mosque preacher, Sheikh Ekrima Sabri.

“That requires supporting them at the popular and legal levels and rejecting all Israeli measures targeting them,” Abu Marzouq added.
