A delegation from the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, headed by its chief Ismail Haniyeh, met a delegation from the Palestinian Authority, headed by President Mahmoud Abbas, in Türkiye on Tuesday.

Both sides were accompanied by high-profile Palestinian officials.
In a press statement, member of the Hamas Political Bureau Husam Badran said that the meeting involved an in-depth discussion in preparation for the upcoming meeting of Palestinian factions' secretaries-general in Cairo.
During the talks, the Hamas delegation reaffirmed the movement’s stance towards comprehensive resistance, describing it as “the most effective approach to confront the Israeli occupation” and the challenges facing the Palestinian issue.
Meanwhile, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is going to meet both delegations in Ankara.
