Commenting on a recorded vote at the UN Economic and Social Council on two resolutions on the living conditions in Palestine dated on July 26, Hamas spokesperson Abdulateef Al-Qanoa stated the following:

Hamas movement hails the voting with an overwhelming majority in favour of Palestine at the United Nations Economic and Social Council. On July 26, the council passed two resolutions that support the Palestinian narrative and spotlight the continued Israeli siege imposed on the Gaza Strip.

We call for concrete measures to translate these resolutions into actions on the ground. The UN should also work towards holding the Israeli occupation accountable for its calculated fascist crimes against the Palestinian people.
