Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh has extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of Ustaz Dr. Soberi Awang, who passed away while giving a lecture at a mosque in Malaysia.

Dr. Soberi Awang was the Vice President of the Association of Muslim Scholars in Malaysia.

Expressing his deep sorrow over the loss of the late scholar, Haniyeh also extended his sympathy to Awang's wife, who is a strong supporter of the Palestinian people and their freedom struggle against the Israeli occupation.

Furthermore, the Hamas chief conveyed his condolences to the Malaysian nation, scholars, and pro-Palestine activists.

Haniyeh prayed to Allah Almighty to have mercy on Dr. Soberi Awang and to bestow patience on his bereaved family and loved ones.
