The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has called for embracing national unity and unifying all efforts to defend Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In a press statement on the 54th anniversary of the arson attack against the Al-Aqsa Mosque carried out by an extremist Israeli colonial settler, Hamas emphasised that Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque remain at the heart of the Palestinian struggle with the Israeli occupation.
Slamming the fascist Israeli occupation government for allowing far-right colonial settlers to desecrate and storm the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Hamas stressed that such moves will never grant the Israeli occupation any "legitimacy or sovereignty over the blessed Land of Palestine."
The Palestinian resistance movement hailed the Palestinian people at home and abroad for defending Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Hamas called on the Arab and Muslim world and the free peoples of the world to take effective and serious action to put an end to the growing Israeli crimes and violations against Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
