The remarks made by the extremist Israeli occupation's minister of national security Itamar Ben Gvir about his right as a colonial settler to free movement across the occupied West Bank whilst denying Palestinians' right to free movement reflect anew the Israeli government’s fascist ethnic cleansing policy against the Palestinian people.

The extremist Israeli settler described his right to move across the occupied West Bank as more important than the right of the indigenous Palestinians.

Hamas reiterates that the Palestinian people will not leave their lands, and the Israeli occupation’s schemes to displace them are doomed to failure. 

The Palestinian people will not allow the occupation leaders and colonial settlers to implement their colonial projects on the occupied Palestinian territories. The Israeli occupation will not have any legitimate existence on our land.

The international position against Ben Gvir’s racist statements must be implemented through tangible steps on the ground. The international community must work towards holding the Israeli occupation leaders and colonial settlers accountable for crimes against the Palestinian people and violations of international law.
