A Hamas delegation has on Tuesday visited the Latin Catholic church in Gaza City and met with the church’s pastor Father Mario.

The delegation included the former health minister Dr. Basem Naim and Hamas spokesperson Fawzi Barohoum in addition to deputy interior minister Tawfiq Abu Naim and others.

The delegates hailed the strong ties that connect Muslims and Christians in Palestine and underlined the importance of unity between Palestinians from all sects and religions.

They slammed the Israeli siege that suffocates Palestinian citizens in the Gaza Strip and the harassment to which Christian Palestinian wishing to visit the holy sites in occupied Bethlehem are subjected.
