The spokesperson of the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas Abdel Latif al-Qanou said in a press release that the continuous Israeli harassments against the Palestinian people in Negev Desert and Qalandia refugees' camp are brutal crimes that aim to uproot the Palestinians from their land.

Al-Qanou pointed out that the Israeli Occupation Forces' (IOF) oppressive measures continue unabated on ground as dozens of Palestinian homes and structures were razed to forcibly transfer the Palestinian citizens from their villages and replace them with Israeli Jews.

Hamas spokesperson hailed the Palestinian people at Negev and Umm al-Hiran who withstand in face of the Israeli barbarity and savagery. He added that the Palestinian people's resistance will continue to combat the Israeli practices and defend the Palestinian land from the ongoing Israeli policies that attempt to pull the Palestinians out from their villages and distort the geographic and demographic reality on the ground.

The Israeli Authorities started demolition campaigns a week ago in the Negev Desert to transfer Palestinian citizens from their villages and construct Israeli settlements on their land. About one thousand Palestinian citizens reside at Umm al-Hiran, all of whom are likely to be expelled from their village if the Israeli demolition campaigns are not frozen.

The Palestinian villages inside the Green Line have been always subjected to Israeli plans conducted by the Israeli Army to empty them from their indigenous people and replace them with towns for the Israeli settlers.
