The vice-head of the Islamic Resistance movement “Hamas’, Dr. Mousa Abu Marzook, who lived in US for years, stated that Trump’s approaches regarding Palestine do not serve the stability in the region and encourage Israel to pursue more extreme measures against the Palestinian people.

In a press statement, he assured that Trump’s threat to transfer US embassy to the occupied Jerusalem will evidently lead to increased risk especially since it was announced by a country in the stature of the United States. Abu Marzook pointed out that the statements of the US president do not serve stability in the region, let alone the interests of the United States itself.

Abu Marzook distinguishes between deeds and words of the US presidents whose campaign promises do not always turn into realities on the ground. He added by saying that  the best proof of this are  those promises made by former US President Barak Obama and his well- known speech in Turkey and Egypt regarding peace in the Middle East which was not accomplished.
