Deputy head of Hamas’ Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, said that the Palestinian-Egyptian relations will witness a paradigm shift in the days to come.

Haniyeh confirmed his remarks in a press statement he issued upon his arrival to Gaza on Friday afternoon saying that the movement will continue to develop and strengthen the relationships between the two countries which will further enhance their historical roots. He also cited the  importance of having Egypt as a neighbour in the region. 

The deputy head also pointed out the necessity to fulfil all calls urging to achieve the Palestinian reconciliation and unity.

A Hamas delegation headed by Haniyeh, had ended last Thursday a successful visit to Egypt after ending several meetings with the Egyptian Intelligence Minister and a number of officials on a high note.
