Press statement issued by Hamas following the continuous Israeli assault on Gaza:

The Israeli escalation in Gaza is dangerous and must be stopped. Israel is attempting to cover up its crimes and violations against Palestinian prisoners and our people in Jerusalem by shifting media attention to Gaza. Accordingly, we hold the Israeli occupation full responsibility for the continuation of this escalation and warn that the persistence of such an assault will not be left without retaliation.
