The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, rejected the Israeli expansion bill that legitimized settler colonialism and considered it part of the systematic Israeli terrorism, and continuation of the aggression against the Palestinian people.

The group's spokesperson, Abdel Latif el-Qanou said in a statement that the bill was passed to impose a dangerous demographic reality on the ground, which help to foster the foundations of a racist, extremist Jewish state, noting that the Israeli decision goes against all the international resolutions that criminalized the settlement expansion.

He stated that this bill is illegitimate.

El-Qanou noted that the persistent American support to the Jewish state along with the Arab silence along with the Palestinian Authority's (PA) policies that repress the Palestinian freedom fighters and remain silent toward the Israeli crimes have all encouraged the Israeli Occupation to go further in its crimes and violations.

The spokesperson urged the Palestinian people to take urgent steps and precautions to battle the Israeli aggression in every way possible to preserve the Palestinian land.

He added that there is a growing need to create a national status that adopts united resistance against the occupation and stop it from passing its settlement expansion.

El-Qanou concluded by asking for imperative moves locally and regionally to expose the Israeli crimes to the world, and uphold the Palestinian steadfastness in the face of Israeli intransigence.
