The Hamas MP based in the West Bank, Basem El-Zarier said in a press release that sentencing the Palestinian freed prisoner, Nael El-Barghouthi to life imprisonment is a purely political decision, which reflects the Israeli hatred and revenge.

He added that the Israeli government's policies are controlled by the extremist right-wing officials who continue launch a ruthless war against the Palestinian people.

El-Zarier pointed out that only racist laws allow arresting a prisoner who has already finished his term inside the prison, noting that this decision is an evidence of the fragility and despair the Israeli state of Occupation.

He also stressed that this is a crime against humanity, urging the Palestinian people to legally confront the unjust Israeli policies and popularly.

It is noteworthy to say that El-Barghouthi has previously served 33 years inside the Israeli prisons before he was released along with 1000 other Palestinian prisoners in the prisoner swap deal between Hamas and the Israeli Occupation in 2011.
