Press release issued by the spokesman of the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, Husam Badran, concerning the Popular Conference for Palestinian Diaspora

We highly praise the Popular Conference for Palestinian Diaspora held in Istanbul, Turkey, assuring that this is  a strategic step towards restoring  momentum to the Palestinian cause.  

The demand of the conference is to activate the role of the Palestinians in Diaspora in the Palestinian political scene. It is a just demand as they are suffering marginalization despite of their outstanding national role and adherence to their  Right of Return to their  homes.  

The Popular Conference is a new allegiance on part of Palestinians in diaspora to assure their adherence to the  Right of Return, and their unified stance  with their people inside Palestine to confront the occupation and to restore their land, holy places and to free prisoners. 

We thank the organizers of the Popular Conference for their role in emphasizing the unity of the Palestinian people, at home and in diaspora.  We also express our deepest gratitude to the Palestinian participants of the conference, whose massive attendance stunned  the world and infuriated the occupier.
