The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas organized a rally in Khan Younis, a southern city of the Gaza Strip, to support the Palestinian prisoners inside the Israeli prisons, particularly the prisoner Nael El-Barghouthi and the hunger striker, Mohammed Al-Qiq.
"Waed Society" for prisoners and ex-prisoners participated in the huge rally along with ex-prisoners and Palestinian masses.
The demonstrators stressed the pressing need for taking swift and urgent actions to save the lives of the Palestinian prisoners, adding that El- Barghouthi must be released from his custody as soon as possible.
The ex-prisoner, Ayman Sharawna delivered a speech during the rally in which he hailed the Palestinian prisoners' steadfastness in face of the Israeli barbarity perpetrated against them. He noted that Al-Qiq will definitely defeat his jailers and regain his freedom again.
Al-Qaiq has been on a hunger strike for 21 days in a row to express his refusal to the arbitrary administrative detention that he is placed under.
Meanwhile, the Israeli Occupation has arrested the former Palestinian prisoner, El-Barghouti, who was freed in the prisoner swap deal that took place in 2011, and has sentenced him to life imprisonment.
