The spokesperson of the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, Hazem Qassem said that the assault on Basel Al-Araj's father and the other participants in the rally which was arranged to protest the martyr's trial is a national crime that entails accountability.

He added in a press release that the Palestinian Authority (PA) continuous violations in the West Bank damage the Palestinian national interests and are clear evidence of the PA's policies that work against the Palestinian resistance.

He noted that all the Palestinian national powers and factions need to form a united national program to stop the Palestinian Authority from targeting the Palestinian resistance in the West Bank, to preserve the Palestinian cause from the PA's sabotaging moves, and to halt its practices, which enforce the internal division.
