The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, praised the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia's (ESCWA) issued report that describes the Israeli Occupation is an "apartheid" regime controlling the Palestinian people.  

In a press statement issued Thursday afternoon, Hamas spokesperson, Fawzi Barhoum, described the report issued by the UN organization as a victory for Palestinian rights and a clear exposure of the grave dangers the Israeli Occupation poses on the region.

He pointed out that the report constitutes a conclusive evidence of the atrocious crimes and the unprecedented barbarity perpetrated by the Israeli Occupation against the Palestinian people.

He went on saying, "This report needs to be officially adopted by the international community in an effort to bring an end to the Israeli Occupation and trial those responsible for their crimes as well as brining justice to our nation and supporting our just cause".
