Press Release issued by Fawzi Barhoum , the spokesperson of the Islamic Resistance Movement “ Hamas” concerning withdrawing (ESCWA) report:
The Islamic Resistance Movement , Hamas, considered the decision of the UN Secretary, António Guterres,to withdraw (ESCWA) report concerning the crimes of the Israeli Occupation a grave mistake and as a form of succumbing to the American and Israeli blackmail. This in return will encourage the occupation to commit more crimes and violations against the Palestinian people and its holy places. The Secretary-General should have disseminated the report and taken serious decisions and steps to deter the Israeli occupation and to achieve justice for the Palestinian people.
We highly praise the responsible attitude of Rima Khalaf , Under-Secretary General and executive secretary at (ESCWA), and her refusal to withdraw the report which affirms the racism of the Israeli Occupation and highlights its war crimes.
