A delegation from the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas has visited the Chinese consulate based in Ramallah in the Occupied West Bank. The delegation included the expelled members in the Palestinian Parliament: Ahmed Atown, and Mohammed Totah along with the MP Abdel Jaber Foqaha.

The Chinese ambassador, Chen Hengchung hosted Hamas delegation and discussed some common topics with the delegation's members.

Hamas delegation's members discussed the Palestinian reconciliation with the Chinese ambassador and with the Israeli blockade imposed on Gaza. They also expressed their concerns over the Israeli practices in the Occupied Jerusalem where the Israeli Occupation attempts to impose its own curriculum on the Arab schools of the city. In addition, the Israeli Occupation has already closed some Palestinian schools in Eastern Jerusalem.

The delegation evoked controversial issues like the latest Israeli decision to limit the calls for Muslim prayers inside the Occupied Palestinian Territories, and the recurrent Israeli policy in detaining the Palestinian MP in the West Bank, and Jerusalem, the last one of whom was the female MP, Samira Halaiqa, who was arrested on the International Woman Day.

The Hamas delegation has discussed the ordeal of the expelled Palestinian MPs who are frequently driven out from Jerusalem by the Israeli Occupation Forces, noting that this persistent Israeli policy constitutes a blatant violation of international law.

The delegation drew attention to the ongoing Israeli practices in Jerusalem, which are meant to change the city's demographic and geographic reality.

The Chinese ambassador emphasized in this respect the need for more fruitful meetings to ensure close relations with the Palestinian people, noting that the Chinese government will continue to support the Palestinian people on the international arena.
