The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas expressed its grave concerns over the alarming increase in the Israeli detention of the Palestinian children. Children have become victims of the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) during frequent overnight raids that are carried out on the occupied Palestinian cities and towns. During these raids soldiers arrest the little children with no regard to their young ages.

The IOF have stormed a Palestinian house in Occupied Jerusalem and arrested a child who is under 15 after sabotaging his home's belongings.

In an exclusive statement, Fawzi Barhoum, the spokesperson of Hamas said that the Israeli Occupation accumulates more hateful crimes by arresting the Palestinian minors and pushing them inside the Israeli jails under administrative detention.

He noted that the long-standing Israeli crime of arresting Palestinian children has been enforced further with the world's silence, urging the international organizations to fulfill their duties toward the Palestinian children who are being savagely treated by the Israeli Occupation.

Barhoum added that the Palestinian minors demand accountability as the Israeli Occupation must be held responsible for its ongoing crimes against the young children, noting that imposing deterrent procedures on the Israeli Occupation is very important for this phase and necessary to halt the increasing Israeli violations against Palestinian children.

He went on saying that all the world's legislations secure the best environment for children allowing them to grow up in a safe country, but in the Occupied Palestinian Territories the little minors are endangered with an occupation that does not respect their childhood.

Barhoum concluded by highlighting the need for a joint national project to save the Palestinian children and file cases in the international humanitarian organizations to hold the Israeli Occupation accountable for its unprecedented crimes against the Palestinian children.
