The spokesperson of the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas Fawzi Barhoum said in a press release that arresting the relief workers of international humanitarian organizations working in Gaza is an Israeli attempt to enforce its relentless and unjust blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip.
Barhoum added in this respect that detaining the head of the Turkish relief foundation, "Tika", Mohamed Murtja, and accusing him of erroneous and baseless charges is part of an overall Israeli intense campaign to suffocate the people of Gaza and hinder any help they might receive from such humanitarian organizations.
Barhoum went on saying that targeting the relief and humanitarian international organizations aims to impedetheir work; something that mitigates Palestinians' mounting hardships in the blockaded and impoverished coastal enclave, noting that the poor and homeless people will be the mostly affected by these Israeli practices.
