Hamas spokesman Husam Badran stated Thursday that the burning of Tabgha church in Tiberias is another proof of the ''Israeli'' racism that rejects all non-Jews.

Describing the attack as a criminal act, Badran said that through such frequent acts against Muslims and Christians in occupied Palestine, ''Israeli'' occupation aims at obliterating and changing the historic landmarks in Palestine.

Badran explained that this crime is not a marginal group's act, but it is a result of continuous incitement adopted by ''Israeli'' leaders and institutions at the highest political, religious and media levels.

He underlined that the extremist Jewish groups enjoy legal cover to their heinous crimes, and continue to evade prosecution.

Badran demanded pertinent authorities concerned with the Palestinian cause and heritage to expose ''Israel's'' crimes and to condemn its practices, which run contrary to international norms and regulations.

"As for us, the Palestinians, we have no choice but to withstand and confront the occupation in all fields and with all means till we get rid of the occupation and its consequences forever." Badran said, stressing that such ''Israeli'' criminal acts would not eliminate the right of Palestinians to their homeland of Palestine.

Jewish extremists at dawn Thursday set fire to Tabgha Church near Tiberias, which is one of the most famous Catholic churches in 1948 Occupied Palestine.
