Press Statement
Issued by the Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas"
The designation of Hamas and Al-Qassam leader, Ahmed Ghandour, as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist by the US Department is an immoral move that repudiates international law. Palestinians have been given the right to defend themselves and resist the occupation by UN resolutions, but such a move by the US Department of State paves the way for more Israeli terrorism and oppression against our Palestinian people. Nonetheless, this step is worthless and will not prevent us from exercising our right to resist the occupation and to continue protecting our people till the liberation of Palestine.
