The spokesperson of Islamic Resistance Movement , Fawzi Barhoum, said that the Islamic and national and political parties  stressed, during their  meeting today, the need to pressure Abbas to retract the salary cuts decision of PA employees in Gaza. He pointed out that the national and political parties  consider the decision of salary cuts an unjust decision; and discriminatory as it is biased against Gaza employees. The factions also warned of its catastrophic geographical and national consequences on  the Palestinian people.

Barhoum added “ we emphasize the need to accelerate fulfilling the demands of the PA employees and  all needs of Gaza Strip”

Regarding the six-party committee formed by Fatah Central Committee, Barhoum assured that any meeting with the Six-Party Committee will be held within its national framework and with the presence of the factions and the representatives  of the Palestinian people in order to discuss the crises affecting the Gaza Strip.

He  stated that the factions will submit a proposal to the president and the prime minister to abide by the eight items as agreed upon and approved by the prime minister  and by the Palestinian factions  at their meeting on Jan 8.

Barhoum warned of the electricity crisis and its serious consequences pointing out that the Ramallah-based government has informed that it will provide Gaza with fuel at (5.4 NIS) which means 100% addition of  blue tax; all of which is   contrary to the agreement.
