The Israeli Occupation released the Palestinian detainee, Rizq Ahmed Mohammed Shaaban, 43, on Wednesday after serving 11 years in Israeli prisons.
Shaaban was received by a large crowd of his relatives and friends waiting for him at the Beit Hanoun crossing north of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli occupation had arrested Shaaban on 13/4/2006, and sentenced him to 11 years on charges of resisting the occupation and his affiliation to the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, and its armed wing, Al-Qassam Brigades.
It is worth mentioning that Shaaban was arrested several times by the occupation and was subjected to severe interrogation and torture methods during his detention. He also went on several hunger strikes, the last of which was when he participated in a solidarity strike with the martyr Maysra Abu Hamdiya.
