The deputy head of the Political Bureau of Hamas , Ismail Haniyeh ,  participated Friday evening  in the memorial ceremony of the Popular Front for Liberation leader, Ahmad Taleb, in the neighborhood of Saftawi, north of Gaza city.

Haniyeh  praised the  struggle of Talib and described him as a man of principles and unity pointing out that his struggle was for the sake of all Palestine.

Haniyeh  also stated that Taleb was one of the  pioneers in the Palestinian resistance following the  1967 Naksa (setback) adding that Taleb worked hard  for the national unity.

In the same context, Haniyeh and a number of Hamas leaders visited  the released detainee, Rizeq Ahmad Shaban from Jabalia in northern Gaza.

The Israeli occupation released  the Qassam detainee, Rizeq  Shaban, 43 year old,  Wednesday evening  after 11 years of  detention inside the Israeli prisons.
