Member of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas", Salah Al-Bardawil, said that the new scheme being planned against the Gaza Strip will not succeed and its repercussions will backfire on the occupation.

This came during a mass rally organized by Hamas after Friday prayers in the city of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, condemning the siege and rejecting the plot being waged against the Gaza Strip.

Al-Bardawil stressed that Hamas will not give in to political pressure and will not accept the threat, saying "We have endured more hardship in the past 10 years than Abbas's threats".  

"We are facing a new wave of political siege imposed on our people and our resistance", he added.

Abbas and the reconciliation

Al-Bardawil pointed out that the US administration is gravely mistaken if they believe  that the way to resolve the Palestinian issue and to force the Palestinians to surrender is by causing Palestinian on Palestinian conflicts.  Al-Bardawil also addressed Abbas saying, "If you want a reconciliation, we have done everything necessary and are ready to proceed with it".

He also noted that the Administrative Committee in the Gaza Strip will step down immediately once the unity government fulfills its duties towards the Strip.

He explained that the Administrative Committee's sole purpose is to fill in the vacuum  left by the unity government.  

On Friday evening, Hamas organized a candlelight march in all Gaza Strip provinces, as part of a series of protests against the new plot against Gaza.
