Abdul Latif Al-Qanoa, spokesperson of Islamic and Resistance Movement, Hamas, stated the following:

The Islamic Resistance Movement , Hamas, affirms its full solidarity with the prisoners in the Israeli occupation prisons who have started a hunger strike as of last week. Hamas reiterates  its  support  to them in their open strike until they  regain their rights and achieve  their just demands by the so-called Israeli Prison Service

Hamas declares its support and solidarity with the heroes behind bars and  urges  the Palestinian people on all levels and parties to support  the prisoners’ cause  in all ways possible  until they  achieve  their legal and just demands as guaranteed by humanitarian and international law.

Hamas also calls upon humanitarian , human rights and international institutions to bear their responsibilities, to carry out their duties towards the Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli prisons ,to end their suffering and to stop the Israeli violations , namely  the  policy of solitary confinement, medical negligence and other  repressive measures taken against the prisoners.
