Press Statement

Hazem Qassem, spokesperson for the Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" said: 

On International Labour Day, the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas,  salutes our heroic Palestinian workers in all places who fought alongside our people with steadfastness and valor  against the unjust Israeli Occupation in search of their freedom and liberation of Palestine.

Hamas affirms the right of our workers to live in freedom and dignity, to have decent livelihoods, to obtain their full rights, which are equivalent to their role in building the nation, to preserve their dignity and to achieve the justice they deserve.

Hamas demands the lifting of the unjust siege imposed on our people, especially on the Gaza Strip, which intensifies the difficulties facing workers which narrows their employment opportunities.

We also call upon the international and human rights organizations, concerned with the rights of workers,  to expose the crimes of the occupation exercised against the workers of our Palestinian people and to pressure the occupation to stop its continuous violations against them.
