The MP from the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, Basem EL-Zarrier said that the Palestinian prisoners are providing the whole world with a unique example of dignity and patience, noting that their issue is a national consensus; one that unites all Palestinians.

He urged the Palestinian people to stand by their issue and continue to back them in their hunger strike till they have their rights fully restored, adding that the hunger strike was the prisoners' last option to confront their jailers' barbarity and inhuman treatments that they have long suffered from.

El-Zarrier said that the Israeli Occupation continues to ignore the prisoners' rights and overlook the world's international laws which call for respecting the detainees' rights.

He noted that the prisoners' strong commitment is a key element in their battle to extort their rights, stressing that the increasing numbers of detainees who have joined the hunger strike will make their stance stronger.

He concluded by saying that the official response regarding the prisoners' hunger strike does not equate with their exceptional sacrifices, and their issue needs to be activated on all fronts and across regions.
