The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas called upon the Palestinian people in the West Bank to choose the most competent in the upcoming municipality elections which are planned to be held on the 13^th of May. Hamas urged voters to cast their votes despite its stance on boycotting the elections.

Hamas confirmed that its public base at the West Bank will positively partake in the elections by choosing the best to serve the Palestinian citizens.

It is noteworthy to say that Hamas decided not to run for the elections because of the issuance of a number of presidential decisions without reaching a consensus from all national partners, noting that achieving the internal unity is the best recipe for democracy.

Hamas also pointed out that the local councils in the West Bank have  very crucial roles  needed to confront the Israeli plots  and to serve the Palestinian people by providing the basic services.
