The member of the Political Bureau of Hamas , Mahmoud Al Zahar, affirmed that Hamas’s acceptance  in its political document to establish a state on the borders  of 1967 is a joint national formula and must not be  misunderstood to mean giving up the entire land of Palestine.

During  the meeting entitled,  “ The international speech of Hamas in  light of its political document” , Al Zahar said Wednesday in Gaza City that Hamas welcomes any discussion about its document and  accepts any new proposals pointing out that  it is a human effort, not a sacred document.

.Al Zahar refused the claims which state that “ Hamas gave up the Palestinian cause” noting that it will not accept what was accepted by PLO. He also said that Hamas believes that the Palestinian cause is the cause of every Palestinian  and each one shall have a right to this land.

Al Zahar  added that the Palestinian cause is an ideological cause for Palestinian people pointing out that the four fundamental issues cannot be waived: the land, the people,religion and Islamic sanctities. .

.Al Zahar also stated that resistance is one tool of the Palestinians tools for restoring their land, also adding that occupation will not leave our land through negotiations.

.He concluded that the relationship of the Palestinian people with Jews who occupied  their lands is not related to their religion, but is solely based on their   occupation of  the Palestinian land, adding that the Palestinian people  have no problem with Jews around the world.
