The head of the Lebanese parliament, Nabieh Beiry sent a letter to the new head of Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniya congratulating him on his new position.

In his letter, Beiry expressed his  good wishes for Haniya in his new position, especially in light of current thorny challenges like settlement expansion, and judaization of Muslim shrines in Jerusalem.

He reiterated his country’s supportive stance regarding the just Palestinian cause, and that they totally back the prisoners' hunger strike to extort their basic rights from their jailers.

Beiry concluded his letter by expressing hopes of an imminent Palestinian unity between national  parties.
