Ismail Haniya, the head of Hamas political bureau called  Mikhail Bogdanov, the Russian deputy foreign minster, and the representative of the Russian president in the Middle East.

The two sides discussed a number of crucial issues including: the Palestinian hunger strikers, the mutual relations between both sides, and the Russian role in achieving the Palestinian reconciliation.

Bogdanov  and Haniya also discussed the recently released political document of Hamas which Russia had previously welcomed. Palestinians' right in their land was reiterated by both sides as well.
