Mr. Fawzi Barhoum, spokesman for the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, said the following:

Dr. Saeb Erekat’s acknowledgement of the procedures and methods imposed on Gaza by PA President, Mahmoud Abbas, consisting of power and salary cuts that aim to pressure Hamas, further proves that Abbas’s methods intersect with the measures and decisions of the Israeli Occupation on our citizens besieged in the Gaza Strip. Barhoum stressed that the dual plot, Gaza is being subjected to from both sides, aims to to destroy the elements and constituents of our people’s success in resisting the occupation and is also an attempt to force them to surrender in order to liquidate the Palestinian cause.
