The head of the Department of Jerusalem Affairs of the Islamic Resistance Movement “ Hamas” , Ahmed Abu Halabiya , stated that the government of the Israeli Occupation held its last meeting in the area of the Buraq Wall and ratified projects which they described as being ‘developmental’ and which aim at Judaizing the Holy City and the Buraq Wall; emphasizing that this constitutes a flagrant violation of international resolutions.
In a press conference held by the department, Abu Halabiya affirmed Wednesday that that blatant violations committed against the city of Jerusalem and Al –Aqas mosque are war crimes against humanity and Palestinian human rights as they have been targeting the existence of Jerusalemites and violating the international laws, covenants and agreements.
He also expressed the department’s rejection of these schemes declared by the Occupation Authorities which aim to establish a large infrastructure and to expand Al-Buraq area in an attempt to alter the historical Islamic landmarks by Judaizing them.
Abu Halabiya called upon UNESCO as preserver of the world heritage sites to intervene to stop the Israeli threats and to force the occupation to implement the international resolutions.
He also stressed that the occupation bears the full responsibility of the consequences of these violations and attacks against Jerusalem, Al- Aqsa mosque , and the Christian holy places. Abu Halabyia urged Jerusalemites to continue in the path of steadfastness and to confront the Israeli schemes.
Abu Halabiya called the Palestinian factions to support Al-Aqsa Intifada and to resist the occupation and its schemes which aim to Judaize the city of Jerusalem and to seize its Islamic and Christian holy places.
