Press Statement

Mr. Abdul Latif Al-Qanou, a spokesman for the Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas", said the following:

The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, regards the election of Danny Danon as vice-president of the United Nations General Assembly as a way to whitewash the crimes of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people. Danon must be held accountable for all Israeli crimes perpetrated against Palestinians since he was personally involved in shedding Palestinian blood during his term as Deputy Minister of the Israeli Defence Ministry.

Hamas calls for the reconsideration of this dangerous step, demanding that human rights organizations, international and humanitarian organizations exercise their role to pressure the United Nations to back away from such a decision and carry out its duties and responsibilities towards our people and bring the Israel to justice.
