Press Statement

Mr. Abdul Latif Al-Qanua, spokesman for the Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas",  stated the following:

Press Release issued by Abdul Latif Al Qanua’ , spokesperson of the Islamic Resistance Movement “ Hamas “

We , in the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas”, strongly reject  the statements made by  the US ambassador to the United Nations  which described Hamas as a “terrorist organization” and called on the Security Council to include it on the terrorism list.

We consider these statements dangerous and serious and a part of the increasing incitement against Hamas which are all biased towards  the Israeli occupation, the leader of terrorism in the region.

We reiterate  that the call to designate  Hamas as a terrorist organization is an abhorrent and  racist demand , a complete bias towards the Israeli occupation and a blatant denial to the right of the Palestinian people to resist while the Israeli occupation has been occupying their land and practicing terrorism against and killing them.

We , in Hamas, assert that all attempts to describe the movement with terrorism will fail and Hamas will remain a national liberation movement resisting the Israeli Occupation and defending the legitimate rights of  the Palestinian people.
