The former head of the Political Bureau of Hamas , Khalid Meshal, stated that Qatar has the greatest role in supporting the Palestinian cause and that the Palestinians are praying for the unity of the Gulf States.  

In a private phone call on Wednesday  , Meshal assured that the unity of the Arab and Gulf states is in the best interest of the Palestinian people, Islamic nation and Hamas movement  and that it plays a vital role in confronting the Israeli occupation and the enemies of the nation.

In another context, Meshal pointed out that the living situation of the people in Gaza Strip is excruciating adding that the Israeli Occupation and its collaborators want Gaza to surrender and to give up their resistance.  “We are fully confident that you will break the siege without waiving your values and principles”,  Meshal addressed the Palestinian people in Gaza.

He also asserted that Hamas has presented a great example of resisting the occupation and confronting   it during the  repeated aggressions on Gaza as well as facing the siege that has been imposed for more than 10 years now

 Meshal added, “Hamas presented a distinctive example in awareness, political performance, and balance between principles and interests and its currently released political document came to prove that.”

 He concluded that Hamas will remain strong in light of the  successive crises throughout  the Arab regions stating that Hamas was born  in crises and has passed them and  it will continue to overcome anything it faceswith political wisdom.
