In the name of of Allah the Merciful

 We , the Hamas delegation to Egypt, highly praise the historic role of Egypt which reflects  the strength of Arab ties. A number of meetings  were held bearing  tangible  results which will have an impact on easing the burdens of the people in Gaza Strip.

During the meetings with the Egyptian side, we discussed the Palestinian national reconciliation expressing our sincere desire to end the division. We also asserted that Hamas did not prevent the National Reconciliation Government  in Gaza Strip from operating and performing its duties. In addition, we  pointed out that the living conditions of the Gazans prompted us to  form the administrative committee  in order to serve the people of Gaza and manage their daily affairs.

We called on the Egyptian side, as broker of the Palestinian reconciliation,  to oversee  the implementation of the Cairo Agreement including the formation of a national unity government and  to schedule  a date to hold legislative and presidential elections.

In this regard, we call upon President  Mahmoud Abbas, to revoke the recent decisions made against the citizens of Gaza Strip.  We also reiterate our appreciation and respect to the historic role of Egypt towards the Palestinian cause.
