The spokesperson of the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, Fawzi Barhoum has stated the following:

Hamas mourns the death of the Palestinian martyr from Hebron, Rafat El-Herbawi whose blood has ignited  resistance operations to voice anger over what the holy site of Al Aqsa mosque is going through of daily Israeli harassments and to defend it from the violations.

This operation means that the Palestinian resistance is moving forward and the battle to defend Al Aqsa is ongoing. The Israeli Occupation will never succeed in breaking the Palestinian will or  in debilitating  the Palestinian people's steadfastness. The Palestinian people will never allow the Israeli Occupation to force new realities regardless of how huge the sacrifices in this regard will be.
