Press release issued by the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas:

We in Hamas express our gratitude and appreciation for our people who stand with us against the Israeli plot aimed at Jerusalem and Al Aqsa mosque.

We as well hail our young people who carried out courageous resistance operations, and this reflects their choice of taking the resistance path to confront the Israeli Occupation.

The Arabic and Islamic responses are hugely appreciated as they confirmed that Al Aqsa issue remains a central one for the Arab and Islamic nations.

Our battle today for Jerusalem and Al Aqsa requires achieving the internal unity to confront the Israeli plots against our Islamic shrines.

In light of the current dangerous situations, we are open for dialogue with Fatah and all of our national partners to accomplish the reconciliation and set up a national strategy to confront the conspiracy against Al Aqsa, to stand in the face of  the Israeli ongoing violations committed against  our people's rights, and to declare our free nation on our land. It is badly needed to take prompt and swift actions to revive the uprising, to support our activists on the ground, to defend our shrines and to end the security coordination with the Israeli Occupation. We as well need to halt all the punitive measures that were adopted against the Gaza Strip, the ex-prisoners, and the Palestinian MPs.

We call for an urgent meetings for all Palestinian officials and leaders to confront all the thorny challenges that face our fair cause.

We urge the Islamic and Arab nations to support the Palestinian people in order to prevent the Israeli plans of dividing Al Aqsa or distorting its Islamic identity.
