A delegation of Hamas headed  by the political leader,  Ayman Shana’a , met Tuesday the mayor of Sidon , Mohammed El Suadi,  in the municipal palace.

Shana’a thanked the mayor for the efforts exerted to serve the Palestinian cause  and the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.

He assured that Hamas rejects any terrorist actions in Lebanon and emphasized  that the security of Ain Al Hilweh camp is a top priority for Hamas in Lebanon.  Shan’a affirmed that Hamas and the Palestinian factions are working to stop any actions targeting the security of Lebanon and the Palestinian camps. 

In return, El Suadi  welcomed the visit of the delegation and any  political efforts made to maintain  the security and  the stability of the camps, especially Ain Al Hilweh camp. 

He asserted his full support for the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon to enjoy their civil rights, particularly the right to own property and to work.

El Suadi pointed out that Sidon will remain  the shelter  for the Palestinian people until  they return to their homes in occupied Palestine, which were displaced from.
