The representative of Hamas in Lebanon , Ali Barakah, delivered Wednesday a letter from the head of the Political Bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, to the Grand Mufti of Lebanon, Abudul Latif Drian , on the situation of occupied Jerusalem and the Israeli Occupation  crimes at  the vicinity of Al  Aqsa Mosque. 

The letter expressed thanks and appreciation to the Grand Mufti of Lebanon and his efforts in supporting the cause of Jerusalem and Palestine,  in particular urging the preachers  of the mosques to dedicate speeches  of Friday prayer  to talk about the events at Al Aqsa Mosque.

In return, the Grand Mufti welcomed the delegation of Hamas and sent greetings to Haniyeh and Hamas leaders. He  also congratulated the Palestinian people on their steadfastness and victory in the battle of breaking the siege imposed on Al Aqsa Mosque.

The Grand Mufti called for  supporting the cause of Jerusalem and Palestine as being the central issue of the Arab and Islamic nations, and emphasized  the need  to take advantage of the positive atmosphere in Palestine to achieve Palestinian and national unity.
