A delegation from Hamas headed by  the Political Bureau remember , Saleh Al Arouri,  and two senior leaders,  held a meeting at the Iranian embassy in Beirut with the political advisor to the Speaker of  the Iranian Shura Council, Amir Husseien Abdullahian and the Iranian ambassador to Beirut ,Mohammad Fath Ali.

The delegation presented a detailed explanation on the situation in occupied Palestine ,especially in Jerusalem and holy Al Aqsa Mosque. They  assured that the Palestinian people will not abandon their holy places and will defend them with all possible means.

The two parties also discussed the siege imposed on Gaza Strip for 10 years now and its serious consequences.   The delegation also spoke of  the efforts made by Hamas with Egypt to open  Rafah crossing. 

In return, Abdullahian welcomed the Hamas delegation  and hailed the successful efforts made by the Palestinian people, especially the Jerusalemites who forced the Israeli Occupation to remove its measures of closing Al Aqsa Mosque.  

He reiterated Iran’s support to the Palestinian people , their resistance and uprising  assuring  that this  is commitment  is made  by the government and the people of Iran towards the Palestinian cause. Abdullahian  also praised the role of Hamas in confronting the Israeli Occupation and safeguarding the Palestinian  issue.
