The head of the Political Bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, met Wednesday a delegation from Islamic Jihad movement in his office in the presence of a number of Hamas leaders

The two sides discussed in depth several important issues, especially the recent events in Jerusalem and its consequences, and  possible ways of making progress in the Palestinian cause in light of the American agenda to reimpose the path of settlement again.

They also reviewed the conditions of the Gazans’ life under the siege and Mahmoud Abbas’ punitive measures and concluded that  the national unity and  a real  reconciliation must be achieved  in order to end the current state of division.
