The latest controversial decision made by the Israeli court to close down the Waqf department inside Al Aqsa compound in Jerusalem is unacceptable and constitutes a blatant violation that is added to the cumulative Israeli harassments perpetrated against Jerusalem and its people. This decision attempts to force Israeli security control over the holy shrines of the Palestinian people.

We reiterate our people's right in their holy shrines, and we cannot stand idly while the Israeli Occupation works hard on the ground to force a new reality. Therefore, we urge our people in Jerusalem, the entire Palestinian people and the decision makers in the region to confront the Israeli schemes and to adopt a united strategy in order to save Jerusalem and put an end to the Israeli violations.
